This procedure is done using medications with the objective of maturing an oocyte; therefore, increasing the possibility of a pregnancy. This may also be controlled in a very reliable manner at the moment of ovulation.
It is begun at the second or third day of menstruation and it is monitored through an ultrasound scan; once the follicle has reached an adequate size (18 to 20 m.m.), the ovulation is induced through medication, as a result, determining the approximated moment of ovulation.
