It is a technique that allows to conserve the sperm under low temperatures (-196ºC) and keep them for long periods without losing their fertilization capacity.
The cryopreservation is indicated for patients that will be submitted a vasectomy, treatments with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, like those who present difficulties having regular ejaculation due to different reasons (erectile malfunction, retrograde ejaculation) or very bad sperm quality; or patients who live in another country or for travel reasons will not be present during the fertilization procedure. |
